Larry’s frame of mind.
What’s important to you? Does your opinion on an issue matter? What should matter to everyone? If your opinion on a particular issue doesn’t really matter, why do you care?
I sincerely believe that one ought to reflect and make a great effort to answer all of these questions before they make the crucial mistake that so many millions make constantly. The mistake that I’m referring to is the decision to speak to the media or a total stranger about any subject other than the opposite sex, sports, the weather, pop culture, etc…
I’m about to go public with my opinions, opening myself to the scrutiny of all who can access the internet, and while I’ll be careful not to take myself too seriously, I think I owe it to myself to express my basic views on the few things in life that I do take extremely seriously.
LARRY ON LIFE
I view human life as a precious gift from God, and I believe the Right to Life is the single most fundamental concept in existence. I believe abortion, as it is commonly practiced in the Western world, is a violation of the Right to Life as much as murder. Obviously, I am Pro-Life. Unlike most Pro-Lifers, however, I believe that the flip side of the “coin” of the Right to Life is the Right to Die. How can one who claims that the Right to Life is indeed, precious, if they insist upon the use of force to needlessly prolong the painful life of a person who is terminally ill? If a man is terminally ill and has made the conscience decision to end his own life on his own terms, without pain, and with quiet dignity in full preparation, why should he be denied a physician’s assistance to achieve his goal? How is a physician who simply rigs a machine, which a patient himself must turn on, that is designed to help a man into the next life with as little physical pain as possible any different than a soldier who gives his comrade the extra morphine shot? Someone else’s date of death should not be your decision. A mother should not be allowed to decide when her child dies, and if an adult has decided to end their own life, you have no way of stopping them anyway, and your legal meddling of others only PROLONGS THE PAIN OF THOSE THOSE THAT YOU CLAIM YOU’RE TRYING TO HELP!! The imprisonment of any doctor like Dr. Jack Kevorkian for assisting a patient out of this world in a pain free and dignified manner is totally unjust and a complete joke precisely because the same government that imprisons for assisted suicide refuses to get in the way of the slaughter of the unborn.
LARRY ON LIBERTY
The Right to Self Defense is the second most important of all individual rights, and all rights, both written and assumed are built with the cornerstone of the Right to Self Defense. I don’t think that it’s a coincidence that in the Bill of Rights, the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution is the Right to Bear Arms. Without the Right to Self Defense, all other rights aren’t worth the paper they’re written on. Think about it. How many times every day in this nation are the Constitutional rights of individuals routinely violated by government agents? What is the only thing stopping that steroid pussy freak that insists that he’s above the law because he wears a shiny badge and a uniform from storming into your home like a bull in a china shop and violating every single right you can think that you might have? The only thing that really stops him is the realization that in this country, it is perfectly legal for law abiding individuals to pack heat. That’s right, the only thing stopping Barney Fife from turning into the Gestapo is the realization that I probably have a loaded rifle somewhere in my home, and since he skipped target practice and spent half the day at Dunkin Donuts and the other half with one hand on a radar gun, while the other one was cleaning out the last remaining dead brain cells from his nose, I just might be a better shot.
LARRY ON PROPERTY
The greatest threat to private property rights is eminent domain abuse. If a government entity condemns private property, that government should only be allowed to use that property for a public facility, such as a fire station, school, courthouse, etc… This is not a very controversial issue among most Americans, but immoral politicians and heartless corporations love to team up and take advantage of the fact that many Americans are totally apathetic and complacent. If your city, county, or state is currently engaging in eminent domain abuse, it is your civic duty to speak up and speak out on behalf of your fellow citizens who need public support to fight against corruption and greed. Politicians fear voters more than anyone, so if you intend to fight, be sure to at least register to vote, even if you don’t like your options. Remind your representatives that you are a voter, you would be surprised just how many special referendums draw fewer than 1,000 people in any given precinct simply because most Americans are fat and happy. In 100 years, if the masses look back, and the US has the wealth and land ownership distribution that resembles a Latin American country circa 1929, they have only themselves to blame.
LARRY ON THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS
If someone’s chosen vice fails to violate any of your individual rights, I think that it’s necessary and fair to criticize the use of the legal system to impose those behavior standards on an otherwise law abiding individual who does not share those same behavior standards. I don’t believe in one size fits all culture standards for every single issue out there. On some issues, it’s perfectly safe to say to individuals “To each, his own,” or to groups “To each, their own.”
LARRY ON GAY MUSLIM ZOMBIES
I don’t like them.
